Fundraising
In responding to requests for grants the Club raises approximately £20,000 each year. Every penny of profit raised at a fund raising event is used to respond to the applications that we receive. The national Lockdown in 2020 meant that we were not able to raise money through traditional events, but our reserves allowed us to continue responding to grant requests. Things got back to normal in 2022 and we have been active in the community through a variety of events including:
"Tin shakes" at various Supermarkets in Maidstone Borough, The Mall Maidstone, Attendance at various fetes and fayres in Loose, Coxheath, Sutton Valence Primary School, Bearsted Summer Fayre on the Green, Maidstone River Festival, Bearsted Sunday Market, Bearsted Christmas Market on the Green.
